Another version of the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini with NFC (Near Field Communication) will be coming to the UK this January. So if you’re planning to get your hands on the mini version of the Galaxy S3, you might as well wait a few more weeks for the arrival of this NFC version.
Since this new version sports NFC, you can tap it against any Galaxy device such as the S3 or Note 2 and transfer stuff wirelessly via S Beam. You can transfer as much as 10MB of data via S Beam.
The Galaxy S3 Mini will set you back £270 on pay as you go, which means it is one of the more expensive smartphones in the mid-range market. With NFC on board, the price is sure to go up even more. The Korean tech giant is yet to reveal the device’s price tag, but we’re sure it will reveal more information on pricing in the days to come.
Aside from allowing you to transfer data by simply tapping one NFC-enabled device against another, NFC is also being touted as the future’s preferred method of payment. Simply wave your NFC-enabled handset on a reader to pay for goods and services.
